By downloading or using Lugnut ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
Lugnut helps you track vehicle maintenance and view NHTSA recall information. The app is provided for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Not professional advice
Lugnut is an organizational tool, not mechanical, legal, or safety advice. Recall information is sourced from NHTSA and is informational only — always verify with your dealer. Service intervals are estimates; follow your owner's manual and a qualified technician.
3. Your data
You are responsible for the accuracy of mileage, VIN, and service entries. Data is stored on your device as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions & purchases
Lugnut Pro is billed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions at least 24 hours before renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple per their policies.
5. Acceptable use
You may not reverse engineer the app, abuse NHTSA APIs through automated scraping via the app, or use the app for unlawful purposes.
6. Third-party services
NHTSA data, Apple In-App Purchase, and optional analytics providers are subject to their own terms. Lugnut is not affiliated with NHTSA or any automaker.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee recall completeness, VIN decode accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lugnut and its developers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including missed recalls or maintenance.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date.
